Former minister and son of the first Likud Prime Minister launches a sharp attack on the current prime minister, calls for early elections.

<p>On Sunday night security forces arrested 18 wanted in Judea and Samaria, including terrorists in Jenin. Explosive devices and weapons were confiscated.</p>

<p>Overnight, IDF, ISA, and Israel Police forces conducted counterterrorism operations in Judea and Samaria. <p>The Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) on Sunday evening rejected a report claiming that an investigation is underway within the Shin Bet against the police and Minister Itamar Ben Gvir on suspicion of subversion.</p><p>"No Shin Bet investigation took place regarding this matter, either against the police or the political echelon, nor is such an investigation currently underway. The head of the Shin Bet spoke this evening with the Police Commissioner and clarified the matter to him. The two emphasized the importance of cooperation between the organizations for the sake of national security," a statement from the Shin Bet said.</p>

<p>National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir responded furiously to the Israel Security Agency's (Shin Bet) dismissal of reports claiming it had launched an investigation against the police and against Ben Gvir on suspicion of subversion.</p><p>"Ronen Bar is a criminal and a liar who is now trying to deny his attempt to conspire against elected officials in a democratic state, even after the documents were exposed to the public. I won’t settle for his dismissal; he must face a criminal trial for attempting a coup and undermining democracy," Ben Gvir wrote in a post on X.</p>
